Our World and Our Future

At Sanovel, sustainability is embedded at the heart of everything we do. We take a responsible approach to environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters across all our operations. Our key priorities include supporting environmental sustainability, reducing our carbon footprint, improving water efficiency and protecting biodiversity. Our sustainability strategy is guided by the United Nations Global Compact and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through strategic and operational initiatives, we also contribute to Türkiye's net-zero emissions ambitions.

To promote transparency and strengthen sustainability awareness across our organization, we publish Sustainability Bulletins on a regular basis. These publications provide updates on our environmental and social performance, share examples of best practice and raise awareness of sustainability-related topics, helping foster a stronger sustainability culture throughout Sanovel.

Through initiatives including advanced energy monitoring and management systems, automation and digitalization, minimizing energy losses, investment in high-efficiency equipment, increased use of renewable energy, heat recovery systems, enhanced thermal insulation and preventive maintenance focused on energy efficiency, we have achieved an average annual reduction of 5% in electricity consumption, and 11% in natural gas consumption.

Improvements across our Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emission sources have also resulted in measurable reductions in our corporate carbon footprint.

In 2025, we achieved a 7% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, and a 14% reduction in carbon emissions per pack produced, reflecting improvements in manufacturing efficiency.

These achievements demonstrate both our commitment to sustainable manufacturing and our determination to address climate change.

Our water conservation initiatives include recovery and reuse of non-contact cooling and heating water, continuous monitoring and management of water consumption, leak prevention, promoting responsible water use, investing in water-efficient equipment and manufacturing processes. Through these initiatives, we have achieved an average annual 6% reduction in water consumption. In 2025, our blue water footprint per pack produced was reduced by 13%.

Waste Recovery Projects

Through continuous improvements in waste segregation and recycling practices, we achieved a 13% reduction in hazardous waste generated per pack produced in 2025.

We also encourage employee participation in our recycling programmes by donating collected plastic bottle caps and electronic waste to non-governmental organizations, supporting both environmental sustainability and community initiatives.
